Have you seen any of the spoof versions? There's one with a Church goer and the jesus lover. They're quite amusing but you're left with the feeling they could be better. Take a read of G2 today, Charlie Brooker slagging off the Mitchell/Web ad and Mac-lovers. He makes some interesting points, but also at times has no idea what he's talking about.

Apple is proud of its Californian heritage. They're one of the few US brands that can get away with running their US ads on TV in other countries.

So I was a bit surprised to hear that the poms had redone the Mac ads. They're kinda the same, but not quite, if you know what I mean.

Have you seen the Japanese ads? Again they're kinda the same. Except they're crazy in a way that only the Japanese can be.

Go to YouTube and search for "Get a Mac Japan" and see for yourself.

I was sceptical - especially about the choice of using known "faces" but then I'm a long term Mac user. I wonder if you and I would have the same reaction if we hadn't seen the originals and didn't know the truth of the message (it's amazing how many people don't).
